Northern Lights and a snowy morning

Amazing views of the Northern Lights, we have had some beautiful clear nights. How lucky to have such dark skies! Looking foward to our stargazing nights in the Easter holidays, everyone welcome, homemade soup and bread a fire to warm up on and Gary from the Kielder Observatory to lead the way!

Snowdrops are gently appearing up at Thorneyburn and a hint of spring in the colours of fields and fell, love the lead up to spring and the subtle changes of light, sounds and smells.

A snowy morning journey today and a misty drive home, always lovely to come over the top roads home and be greeted by a fox jumping the stone walls with such grace, a flash of eyes then gone into the darkness. Same fox (perhaps) each evening out on the prowl! A nice welcome home!
