Wild Northumbrian Stargazing 29 November 2014 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Kielder Observatory in association with Wild Northumbrian offer this amazing opportunity to observe the skies above the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park from the remote village of Tarset and the comfort of Wild Northumbrian’s Tipis and Yurts.

Join experienced astronomers from Kielder Observatory as they take you on a whistle-stop tour of the night sky observing planets, star clusters, nebulae and insanely distant galaxies!

This will be stargazing with a twist!  Keep the cold off dunking home made breads in a warming bowl of soup, sip hot chocolate and toast marshmallows allows over a glowing fire.

We start the evening with a brief talk and introduction to astronomy, then weather permitting a laser guided tour of the night sky and on to observing through large aperture telescopes under the expert guidance of Kielder Observatory astronomers.

This event is suitable for everyone no matter of age or previous experience, we look forward to welcoming you to the dark skies of Northumberland!

If you’d like to stay overnight with us in one of our cosy yurts or tipis please contact info@wildnorthumbrian directly for accommodation availability.

Please note that this event takes place at Wild Northumbrian and not at Kielder Observatory.
