All our on site facilities are here to create a free, easy, comfortable stay, looking after our visitors but also our environment and surroundings.

After your adventures of the day you will find constant hot showers, cosy underfloor heated showers and drying areas, where you can dry clothes and just relax under a hot shower.

We have 2 fully equipped kitchens where you can wash up, cook with gas stove, fridge, washing machine. All those essentials to make cooking, or storage a little easier!

Fresh drinking water is at a standpipe nearby or at the kitchens, along with enough wood for a day or two to start you off by your Tipi and Yurt so stoves stay warm and crackling! Extra kindling and wood is available at £3.00 kindling and hotmax available too

We do whole site bookings. Hen weekends , birthday celebrations, reunions and small weddings... we can accommodate up to 35.  We can also organise all sorts of bespoke activities and events

Take advantage of our Wild Northumbrian Supplies in our kitchen including extra gas, wood, kindling, matches, paper, our free range eggs, cakes etc. We have a conventient honesty tin too!

The Yurts - Merle, Esk, Houlet, Brock and Tod Sleep 4-6 - 

Wild Northumbrian Yurts are hand crafted, bespoke structures, fully insulated for all weathers. Adapted for this climate they offer a window to the stars and changing seasons. A closeness to nature, yet with a wonderfully luxurious feel. They have wonderful local reclaimed furniture and organic, fairtrade rugs and sheepskins. All the touches you would expect to make your stay magical. 

Each Accommodation includes a wood burning stove, Camping gas stove and an outside fire pit and decking to look at the stars ! Cooking equipment, utensils, cutlery, plates., bowls , mugs all included. 

When you arrive you will have a basket of logs, kindling, candles , matches, firelighters for a night or so and bedding - unless you are bringing your own.

There is a lovely handmade large double bed and thick futons to sleep on. The bedding is filled with cosy duck down - do let us know if you need a substitute.

Merle Yurt - Views of the fells and Valley

This stunning Yurt (Blackbird Yurt) has a secluded location next to a little rushing burn nestled amongst Birch and Alder, with views of fells and woodland. This is the ultimate getaway Yurt, with Woodpeckers and Red Squirrels busying nearby during the day and Foxes and Owls on nightshift- this Yurt is great for families and couples just wanting space, starry nights and wilderness. Now just a hop through the wood and across our new rope swing bridge to all the facilities!

Esk Yurt - The Stargazing Yurt

We've completely renovated the site of Esk Yurt to make bring in a stunning Sand coloured 16ft Yurt from the amazing Yurt Workshop in Spain. Rob and his team create some of the best-made Yurts in the world! Anyone who has experienced Brock Yurt already will know what I mean. Inside is a stunning 4 poster bed made from local trees and handmade by the brilliant Karl of Dreamstone Woodworking company. The Yurt still has the same breathtaking open views of the surrounding fells and valley but have an extra special vibe inside and out! Wake up to new lambs, Curlews, Lapwings and Skylarks and uninterrupted views of this part of Northumberland National Park the views of the Dark Skies here is almost unmatched!!

Houlet Yurt - Our Woodland Yurt

Nestled amongst trees and meadow this Yurt sits in its own private glade with the murmurs of a stream to explore close by. Dappled sunlight on birch leaves and the sweet smells of Scots Pine: your own private wild playground to explore and relax in. The name of this Yurt is old Scots for Owl. From this Yurt you can watch Red Squirrels scampering up and down the trees and hear the Tawny and Barn Owls by night. New for 2013 is an amazing rope bridge, great for getting you closer to all the facilities.

Brock Yurt - Badgers come to this Yurt ! 

This beautiful 16ft Yurt sleeps up to 4 ( the size of traditional family Yurts in Mongolia ) It is made by one of the finest Yurt makers in the world, Yurt Workshop, from lovingly prepared sweet Chestnut and Oak. Every detail is perfected by a real craftsman. This Yurt sits on the former site of Brock Tipi, it's a beautiful site by Briarhill Burn, amongst 1000's of acres of wild Northumbrian fell. Available throughout the year you will see Northumberland National Park in its many moods and seasons. "Brock" is old English for Badger and we have a large Badgers set just above the Yurt! Inside there is a king size double bed and 2 comfy organic futon mattresses, a fully equipped kitchen (without the electricity !) , A lovely cosy Windy Smithy woodburning stove, sheep skins, kilims , lanterns, candlesticks...Close by is a discreet quirky reclaimed wooden compost loo and a Hot "Aussie" Bush shower...an amazing experience you just have to have ! This a perfect Yurt for a couple or young family wanting to really get away to a wild place but with loads of extra comfort.

The view from Tod Yurt - your own wild wood and river to explore !

Tod Tipi was superseded by the magnificent 20ft olive green Tod Yurt in March 2015. This stunning site boasts views over the valley and is perched above the river Tarset in the most secluded part of the site. Perfect for both couples and-and family breaks it has a kingsize double , big wood-burning stove , rugs , sheepskins and a butcher block kitchen. Outside it a nearby compost loo and outside hot shower for the ultimate eco holiday. There are also 3 tree rope swings and lovely hammock and wild swimming and paddling in the pools below the Yurt. The Yurt comes with wood, kindling, matches, firelighters, candles etc for the first night or so. Everything is provided including bedding . Remember to bring towels and torches!
